Miriam Rasmussen (99novenove, Challenger Sails), dalla Norvegia ha deciso di fare una vacanza per trascorrere un paio di settimane a Tenerife per potersi allenare al caldo. Prima di partire per Cape Town ci invia questo suo video. Buona visione!
Miriam: “When winters all around in Scandinavia, Norwegian windsurfers has to migrate south to get a break from snow and freezing temperatures. I had two trips planned this winter – one week to Tenerife, and two weeks to Cape Town. Next year I hope to stay longer abroad during wintertime. I went to Tenerife because I had heard that El Medano is a place particularly good for slalom racing. Of course this is a matter of the present conditions, and i am afraid I wasn’t lucky this time! With swell from the south and 30 knots windgenerated waves from the south the conditions were to put it mildly – hectic! I got two good days of slalom, one horrendous one, and i had to rent wave gear for two days. There are some slalomsailors here, but please be aware that these are world cup sailors! The philosophy is apparently; “If you can sail slalom here, you can do it anywhere”
