Camaraderie, enthusiasm, smiles, and supportive encouragement continues to spread world- wide. The Butterfly Effect has had an eventful summer with three unforgettable events. Maui kicked off the summer in May with over 200 women. One hundred more women participated in Cabarete in the Dominican Republic, and the community helped raise $5000 for the DREAM Project.
The first ever summer edition of the Butterfly Effect in Switzerland wrapped up the fun this past weekend. The Butterfly Effect landed in Switzerland last year with the first ever Snow Edition event. This year’s summer edition was held in Lake Silvaplana, where 38 women traveled from all over Europe to participate in stand-up paddle, kitesurf, and windsurf.
The sponsors for each event were extremely supportive, helping The Butterfly Effect have its most successful year yet, breaking previous records for participation, community beach clean-ups, and fundraising.
The Butterfly Effect event creates an environment where women come together in a non-competitive setting to support each other, nurture the environment, have fun, and bond via a mutual love of the ocean and respect for nature. It also aims to build community support for local athletes.
The Butterfly Effect World Tour 2013 will head to Brazil, Bimini, Switzerland, Maui, Tahiti, and Dominican Republic. Register online at www.betheeffect.com.
