Il ventiduenne gardesano Bruno Martini entra ufficialmente nel team Point-7 e Starboard.
Proprio lunedì eravamo in visita a Grosseto negli uffici RRD quando tra le altre cose abbiamo anche parlato dei vari cambi di scuderia che saranno l’oggetto dell’attenzione dei vari media, e non solo, in questo movimentato periodo di fine anno. Siamo venuti così a sapere dell’ingresso di Bruno Martini nel team Point-7 dopo qualche stagione trascorsa in RRD per seguire anche il progetto Firewing, notizia confermata ieri dalla press release ufficiale P7 che riportiamo qui sotto. Ma questo non sarà l’unico colpo di scena… ce ne sono in arrivo di davvero grossi!
Bruno Martini commenta: “Diciamo che avevo già in mente di cambiare indipendente dai marchi, volevo provare nuove sensazioni nelle mani e nei piedi. La scelta di Point-7 e Starboard è stata una scelta decisiva. Provando alcune volte il materiale mi sono reso conto che sarebbe stata una combinazione adatta alle mie caratteristiche, vela potente e stabile con una tavola che riesce a supportare la sua potenza. Credo che non ci sia molto da dire, aspetteremo per vedere nelle gare cosa succederà anche se io una mia idea già ce la ho.”
Bruno non sarà l’unico rider nazionale e internazionale che entra nel team Starboard/Point-7, presto potremmo comunicarvi il nuovo e sorprendente top team rider PWA che gareggerà con questa accopiata di brand!

Bruno Martini joins the dark force!
Showing his potential in some of the latest PWA heats, and after winning the Italian Slalom Tour, the 22 years old Bruno Martini, a body full of muscles and power from Lake Garda, joins back the Point-7 Black Team.
Bruno Martini ‘I train often with the Point-7 team, as we live 360 days a year in the same spots between Tenerife and Lake Garda. It made almost no sense for myself to sail on other gear, as with them, I would have great support, be more involved in the testing, development: even just for the fun to be in the group of guys who run a brand, and are on the water each day enjoying their work. I tried the sails often and I’m sure that these will allow me to focus more on my racing and improve my results.
Andrea Cucchi ‘Bruno was already in our team few years ago, but it was fair for him to have had a bit of experience with other brands, to learn more on how it all works. The chance would be big that he would join us for a longer time as we are sailing from the same spots. He has a lot of speed and power in slalom. He has the knowledge of training hard, as his father is a personal trainer and has given him the passion to be fit. If Bruno manages to have more experience on the race course and put his head together that he can do well, he will slowly climb up the international rankings. A new challenge to grow in our team for next racing season.
