Simmer presenta la nuova vela da Race, la SC Race2015. Tomas Persson ha lavorato duramente sullo sviluppo di questa nuova macchina da velocità per puntare direttamente al gradino più alto del podio del PWA. Controllo, stabilita e accelerazione sono le parole d’ordine per questa versione 2015.

We have invested a lot of resources and time into the R&D of the new SC Race. The main points of improvements are the control, stability and acceleration. The new SC Race features a deeper sail profile which creates more forward drive and effectively more speed and acceleration. We have improved the sleeve to work better with the SC 11 mast. This gives the rig a more responsive handling. We have improved our own speeds with 1-2 knots with the mast and sail. We are extremely happy with the new SC Race!! It is the perfect race sail for all types of conditions and we are certain that it will help you go faster!!
Key features for 2015
– Deeper profile on the lower to mid sail body.
– More twist to release power for improved control
– Tighter leach between the battens above the clew for faster acceleration..
– Livelier character due to a more narrow sleeve in the top 1/3 of the sail.
– Lighter swing-weight due to lighter material selection in the top half of the sail.
We have also separated the smaller sizes of SCR ( 5.0 / 5.5 / 5.8 ) and made these more speed orientated. They are designed for optimal accelleration on a 120-140 degree wind angle seen on a speed course such as Luderitz.
The SC Race is designed for top end competitive racing.
It features the optimal combination of bottom end power, top end speed, stability and exceptional camber rotation for hassle-free gybing. Each size is equipped with a custom tapered 2-part battens for optimal profile accuracy. The symmetric batten pockets provide accurate shaping on both tacks of the sail body. The kevlar stretch control tendon secures the sail profile even when strong gusts hits. For 2015 the SC Race is charged with even more power, improved twist for enhanced control and improved handling.
