Il 28-enne ha messo in riga i finalisti nel seguente ordine: Dusty Payne (HAW) secondo, terzo Sebastian Zietz (HAW) e quarto Ian Walsh (HAW), durante una finale di 35 minuti. Bourez è ora al secondo posto nel ranking del Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, al primo posto resta Payne, perciò rivincita rimandata per i due all’evento finale più importante, il Billabong Pipe Masters, al via da lunedì 8 dicembre.
